When walking into a normal bookstore, the first things you see are the books. In this art book and magazine store, the idea of displaying the books and the concept of art merges to create a space, which feels like an art installation and entices the person to discover. Each category of books has its own cubicle. The cubicles are an architectural translation of ice cubes and are composed of two aspects: the skin, and the core. The skin is made of glass, and the core, out of translucent glass, inspired by the materiality of ice. Art books are normally colourful and have colourful covers; so the effect they give through the layers of glass create gradients of colours that change depending on the book placement. The space is an interactive installation where the person becomes the artist himself.
